Brief Job Description

The role would be responsible to oversee the operations of the scrap shredding facility in Nigeria. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in the recycling industry, particularly with scrap metal and shredding equipment

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsibility Operations & Maintenance:
    1. Manage and oversee the operations of the scrap shredding facility, including maintenance, production, and quality control.
    2. Develop and implement policies and procedures for the efficient and safe operation of the facility.
  • Monitor and maintain Equipments:
    1. Manage and train staff, including hiring, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
    2. Monitor and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Stakeholder Partnering & reporting:
    1. Work with suppliers and customers to ensure timely and efficient delivery of materials and finished products.
    2. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and regulatory agencies.
    3. Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on production, quality, and financial performance.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the recycling industry, with a specific focus on scrap metal and shredding equipment. Previous experience in the recycling industry is highly desirable.
  • BE/B.Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering from reputable universities. Candidates from NIT/REC are preferred.
  • Experience in the operations of scrap shredding and maintenance of such equipment. Ideally, exposure to scrap metal and shredding equipment.
  • Ability to monitor and maintain equipment, as well as manage and train staff, including tasks such as hiring, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
  • Proven experience in developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and regulatory agencies.
